1.The determinative characteristics of common rock forming minerals containing quartz group, feldspar group, mica group, hornblende group, pyroxenegroup, olivine group and carbonatite minerals will be discussed in greater detail.
3.Jadeite is made up of pyroxene, amphibole and feldspar group minerals, in which the existence, quantity and change of chemical composition of pyroxenegroup minerals, such as jadeite, aegirine, vryite and hedenbergite, largely influence the quality of jadeite.
4.The Archaean rocks widely exposed in the area studied belong to the Qian-xi Group of granulite facies, including granulite, charnockite, pyroxene(and/or amphibole)-plagioclase gneiss, amphibolite and so on.
5.In the Archean Taihua Group there exist pyroxene granulites (Opx-Cpx-Gar-Piag)and other rocks(Garnet-plagioclase pyrox-enolites and sillmanite-garnet gneisses)in the granulite facies at Western Lushan Xian, Henan province.
