4.According to the experiment results, the reaction process of silicon is studied. The results show that iron drop absorbing silicon at the top of tuyere region does not reach balance, (FeO) controls oxidizing ability of slag and Si content descends under the condition of pure oxygen operation. The results are compared with reducing reaction of silicon in blast furnace.
5.The experimental study on the effect of fusion agents on the ash melting point with coal ashes and additives of CaO and Fe 2O 3 or limestone and sulfuric acid slag in different rations is introduced. It is shown that, in reducing atmosphere, the ash melting point descends if the additive quantity of CaO and Fe 2O 3 is proper, but the ash melting point rises rapidly if the additive ratio of CaO reaches to 40 percent.
