2.During 1997, the centre handled 260 cases of notified vessel emergency, of which 52 developed into search and rescue operations. A total of 178 lives were saved.
3.The time that vessel with different size and position of damaged openning reaches to new equilibrium even capsizing in sinking and trimming is obtained by program, which provides theory basis for captain to quickly appraise safety of damaged ship and make decision of rescue.
