1.Sub-angstrom HRTEM could significantly promote the development of crystallography,material science, physics,nano-materials and biology. The typical new generation HRTEM facility,equipped with Cs-corrector and monochromator,will give us high-quality atomic HRTEM images with a resolution better than 1?,and also high resolution electron energy loss spectra with a resolution better than 0.1eV.
2.The computer control system of an ADES 400 Angle-Resolved Electron Spectrometer has been modified so that High Resolution Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (HREELS) can be controlled by the computer. The sensitivity of HREELS has been raised by about two orders of magnitude.
3.Results ①When the detection pinhole was set to 1 Airy Disc, an optical section with the optimal balance between the resolution and the signal loss could obtained by fulfilling the condition that the fluorescence intensity in the focus plane falls to 50% maximum when the scanning plane leaves a distance of 1/2 Z-direction resolution (=2λ/NA2) from the focus.
4.Rotary Waxjet, direct screen making machine with hot wax and 256 nozzles working together, has 700/1016DPI high resolution, avoiding problems of inaccurate repeat joint, screen-dot loss, impurity and low working efficiency etc.
5.The sensitive volume is 1.2 × 1.2 × 10cm3. The energy loss △E resolution of 12.1% and space resolution of 1.2mm (FWHM) were obtained for 5.3 MeV α-particles (△E-lMeV) with 90% argon and 10% CH4 mixture at a pressure of 730 torr.
6.The atomic and electronic structures, valence state, bonding and composition at interface and defects in materials can be characterized by phase contrast imaging/Z-contrast imaging in combination with electron energy loss spectroscopy at sub-Angstrom spatial resolution and sub-eV energy resolution, using FEG TEM/STEM equipped with monochromator, spherical aberration corrector and filter with high energy resolution.
7.To detect transient signals under complex background, a novel method of aliasing-free exponential bilinear time-frequency distribution is presented in this paper, which can avoid the frequency aliasing and information loss existing in the traditional bilinear distributions, reduce the cross-terms effectively and possess high time-frequency resolution.
