1.SCALAR POTENTIAL BOUNDARY ELEMENT METHOD FOR AXISYMMETRIC STATIC ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD
2.A new method called as Single Scalar Potential FEM is utilized to analyse the magnetic iields and the eddy currents in the turbine-generator end regions, by which, the time varying boundary value problem of Diffusion Equation and Poisson Equation is simplified as a static problem of Laplace Equation. So the calculation becomes easier, and the required volume of the computer memory and the calculating time decrease.
3.Analysing and calculating ofthe 3Dnonlinearinstantaneous magnetic field is difficult. This paper can effectively deal with the difficulty asfollows :applying the modified vector magnetic potential A* in eddy region ,using scalar magnetic potential ψin noneddy region ,and supposing volume distributed exciting cur rent as surface distributed exciting currentreasonably ,then the whole region can be calculated with A* - ψ mathematical model.
