7.Abstract: Based on the research,development and experiment of a prototype of mobile offshore platform with negative pressure bucket foundation,the operating principles of towing positioning,grounding,floating and shifting of such type of platform in shallow beach sea are described and discussed.It has been shown that this type of platform has the advantage of having remarkable stability in floating and towing when an internal sack is fitted inside of the bucket foundation.
8.According to the requirements of amendments to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea,1974(SOLAS,1974)- Safety Measures for Bulk Carriers and the Regulations on Subdivision and Damage Stability of Cargo Ships,the condition of equilibrium and subdivision index after the foremost cargo hold flooded for five bulk carriers are calculated and checked;the cause that do not satisfy the requirements is analyzed and the reconstructing measures and suggestions for designing a new ship are given in this paper.
9.The genesis and stability of seabed sand waves in the waters north and northwest of the Dongsha Islands have been analyzed by synthetical study of sedimentology,tectonics and marine hydrodynamics using surveying data of submarine topography,shallow sediments,sea bottom currents as well as former regional geological and geophysical data.
10.According to some model test results of fishing vessels in the developed fishery countries, through analyzing the capsizing mechanism of fishing vessels, author gives some measurs for improving the stability of fishing vessel in rough sea, which include how to design and arrange the bulkwark port and ensure the reliability of water-tight facilities and use catamaran.
