1.Discourse Representation Theory(DRT) is a theory of dynamic semantics. The construction rules of discourse representation structures and accessibility rules of DRT can be applied to the analysis of cataphoric phenomena of third_person pronouns in Chinese. The analysis provides a theoretical proof that Chinese third_person pronouns can function cataphorically.
2.This article mainly addresses three approaches to the interpretation of anaphoric elements in discourse:the E-type strategy,Discourse Representation Theory(DRT)and File Change Semantics(FCS).
