9.The main cause of corrosion on glass fibre in portland cement paste is the reactionbetween Ca(OH)_2, precipitated from the hydration of cement, and Si-O skeleton of glassfibre and then produces hydrated calcium silicate gel of C-S-H(I)type, while imperfectionson surface layer of glass fibre accelerate this process.
