1.In these tests, the clay content of silt increases as 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15% while the sand content remains unchanged and the siltcontent increases as 50%, 60%, 70%, 80% while clay content remains unchanged.
2.The test result indicates this measurement system is suitable for the siltcontent scope of0~250kg/m3, not needing to adjust the correction coefficient in this scope, themeasurement system thus has the good compatibility.
4.The results showed that PAM within 30~120kg/hm2 accelerated the reduction of sandy particle (2~0.02mm ) content and the increasing of clay-silt particle(<0.02mm) content , improved the coarsening of soil.

8.Secondly , the component particles of the red clay are predominantly less than 250μm,with the content of silt(5-50μm) average 52.17%.And the content of 10-50μm is higher than that of 5-10μm.Few particles over 250μm can be observed. .
10.The results showed that the content of coarse silt (0.05~0.02 mm), fine silt (0.02~?0.005? mm), and clay (<0.01 mm ) were 47.9%, 24.9% and 28.0%, respectively.
