2.R6G, R6G+R640 and R6G+LD473 mixture in methanol solution were studied. The proper choice of the beam splitter and the Brewster prism pre-expander grazing-incident grating cavity provided a wide tunable spectral range, low background ASE; polarized peak output power of the laser is about 40 kW and a spectral bandwidth is 0.22cm-1.
4.The input and output single-mode waveguides and the SIE multimode waveguide are all optimized by the discrete spectral index method (DSIM). At the single-mode rib waveguide width of 3 μm, the optimum width and length of the SIE waveguide of 18 μm and 5 602.8 μm are obtained, respectively, with the wavelength isolation of the device of as high as 70 dB, and the insertion loss of less than 0.1 dB for both wavelengths.
