6.The new synthesizer attains approximately the original preasion and dynamic range, and provides a powerful kind of means for Chinese synthesis by rule, and makes it possible to realize real-time synthesis on TMS 320C 25. A Chinese text-to-speech system has been developed on a 386 microcomputer with a high speed digital signal processing board TMS 320C 25-D. The intelligibility and naturalness of the system are increased by a consideration of five phonological rules.
