2.3 Both ABA contents of the leaves and [ABAxyl]L increased with the increase of exogenous pH buffer from 5 to 8, and pH value of xylem sap was raised when the maize were treated by pH buffer. At the same time , the stomatal conductance and transpiration rate decreased .
3.Effects of some lanthanide ions on K+ channels in guard cells and in mesophyll cells were investigated using whole-cell patch clamp technique, and influences of lanthanide ions on stomatal movements and transpiration were studied using epidermis biology analyse and other methods. We aim at posting some evidence to reveal rare earth elements might have potential practical values in regulating plant water status.

10.② In the condition of the same leaf age, the net photosynthetic rate(Pn), the transpiration rate (E), stomatal conductance(Gs),apparent quantum yield(AQY),CO_2 carboxylation efficiency(CCE)and light use (efficiency) (LUE) of C. fargesii were significantly higher than those of C.
