1.I’ve studied all the necessary documentation, including the shipping advice. That advice told us the vessel would be sailing for London via Hong Kong and Bombay on October 15.Unfortunately when the vessel called at Bombay, the dockers were on strike, which caused almost ten days delay in its arrival in London.

2.What I’d like to remind you of is that it was stipulated in the contract that the goods would be delivered in early October.If the goods had been delivered before October 10,the strike in Bombay would not have affected the punctual arrival of the goods..Therefore you are responsible for our loss. The actual distribution started on January 10, half a month later than Christmas. The total loss amounts approximately to € 3,000.
