1.For the purpose of battlefield terrain simulation, in order to solve the problem of building and real-time display of large scale terrain, designed and developed a 3D terrain model database of missile force virtual training, optimized the model with its key technology, such as levels of detail, texture mapping etc, and proposed a solution for real-time display of large scale terrain based on view-point and double measurement which has been successfully applied into the simulation training of missile force.
2.The DTM (the digital terrain model) for automatic-design of thruway was put forward by Prof. Miller in 1956. Since then , the DEM is used for design of various circuit diagram (railroad, highway, circuitry), and for account of area, cubage, gradient of various project, and for estimating visibility from point to point;
4.Its scene program adopts Creator software(a modeling tool),OpenGVS4.5(a 3D real-time engine of driving scene),DirectSound3D(a par of DirectX 8.0,a controlling sound playing program),uses many advanced technologies,such as six point terrain matching,twilight simulation,pixel level illumination simulation,fake particle system rainfall simulation,builds a good interactive and strong immerse virtual driving environment.
