1.Purpose: An effective treatment for burns complicated by tetanic infection was discussed.
2.Tetanic stimulation of the afferent fiber evoked after-inhibition of the AδDRR for various lengths of time.
3.Conclusion: The systemic comprehensive treatment in combination with surgical debridement is an effective therapy for burns complicated by tetanic infection.
4.Method: Experiences in treating 4 cases of burns complicated by tetanic infection were concluded in the terms of preventive measures and clinical treatment.
5.Motor functional recovery was assessed by calculating the sciatic functional index (SFI) and measuring tetanic contractile force of the extensor digitorum longus(EDL).
6.Group Ⅲ was treated with rhGGF2 (1mg/kg by subcutaneous injection after crush for four days),and group Ⅱ was given the same volume of vehicle,Motor functional recovery was assessed by calculating the sciatic functional index(SFI) and measuring tetanic contractile force of extensor digitorum longus (EDL).
7.Results: The decrease of tetanic tension (PO), posttetanic twitch potentiation (PTP), and the lengthening of relaxation time (RT) of the denervated EDL could be ameliorated by CE. The decrease of muscle wet weight, total protein and muscle fibre cross section area (CSA) after denervation could be prevented by CE.
8.METHODS The population spike (PS) from pyramidal cell of CA3 region was recorded in vivo following stimulation of lateral perforant path (LPP) . For the induction of LTP,4 trains (50 shocks/train, 500Hz) of high-frequency tetanic stimulations were given to LPP. Before tetanus delivery, morphine and naloxone were injected into CA3 region in different group respectively.
9.The main trunks of ansa cervicalis were implanted into the laryngeal adductory muscles on the left side in seven dogs after the recurrent laryngeal nerve and the external branch of the superior laryngeal nerve were sectioned on the same side. After six months, a series of twitch, tetanic contractions were recorded from each side.
