thymectomized mice
1.APS,an extract of polysaccharide from Astragalus mongolicus,increased the spleen weight of normal mice at a dosage of 100mg/kg qd. for 6 days. This effect was significantly decreased in thymectomized mice injected with anti-thymus cell serum(T_x-ATS).
2.In neonatally thymectomized (NTx) mice, when examined at 2 month, Con A reactivity, MLR (mixed lymphocyte culture reaction) and IL-2 production of splenocytes were found to be depressed,and NK activity increased sig-nficantly.
