2.Objective The purpose of this investigation was to detect the expression of peroxynitrite anion(ONOO-) in trabecular meshwork of normal human,primary acute angle closure glaucoma(PAACG) and primary chronic angle closure glaucoma(PCACG),in an attempt to learn about its role in the damage of trabecular meshwork and the relationship with glaucoma.
3.Objective To identify expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS) and endothelia nitric oxide synthase(eNOS) expression in trabecular meshworks(TM) of normal control and patients with acute angle-closure glaucoma(AACG),and investigate the distribution of iNOS,eNOS in the TM and the relationship with AACG.
4.Objective To study the relationship between the production of aqueous humor and the tissue-specific expression of AQP1 and AQP4. And also study the effects of dexamethasone (Dex) on the expression of aquaporin-1(AQP1) and aquaporin-4(AQP4) in rabbit non-pigmented epithelium of ciliary body (NPCE) and trabecular meshwork(TM) cells, thereby to probe into the pathogenesis of glucocorticoid induced glaucoma.
5.Objective To understand the effect of transforming growth factor-β_(2)(TGF-β_(2)) on the expression and activity of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP_(2)) in cultured bovine trabecular cells and to investigate the role of TGF-β_(2) in the pathogenesis of primary open angle glaucoma(POAG).
6.Objective To evaluate the long-term effect of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) on primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) in a clinical study. SLT is a new kind of laser trabeculoplasty that selectively targets the trabecular meshwork (TM) cells without coagulative damage to the TM.
