1.The reactions of n-pentane on S 2O 2- 8/ZrO 2 (PSZ) solid superacid catalysts promoted by tungsten carbides were studied for the first time, and the factors affecting the activity of the catalysts (WC/PSZ) were investigated as well. By means of GC-MS, XRD, BET etc. , the products of the reactions and the characteristics of WC/PSZ catalyst were explored.
2.To improve the oxidation resistance of the catalyst supports, tungsten carbide (WxCy) was investigated as a substitute for carbon supports in PEMFCs. The Pt/C and Pt/WxCy samples were oxidized using the chronoamperometry method. The electrochemical active area of the two samples was measured using cyclic voltammetry.
