1.To explore the propagation of turbulent flame in a large horizontal tube,numerical simulation has been carried out by the using of homogeneous fluid model, the standard k? ε turbulent model, EBU Arrhenius combustion model and two dimensional homogeneous reaction model, and Simple scheme is adapted to solve the models.
2.Based on the STAR-CD and FIRE software, the development and the application status of turbulence controlled EBU model, a laminar and turbulent characteristic-time model, CFM series models, Weller model, turbulent flame speed closure combustion model, PDF model and shell model were mainly discussed.
4.Results from diagnostic model indicate that the turbulent-to-laminarflame speed ratio (FSR) around TDC (i.e. in full flame developed part) isa linear function of the engine speed at a certain throttle.
