5.A new electric arc furnace-ladle furnace vacuum refining process (EAF + LFV ) to produce steelG20CrNi2MoA for high quality carburized bearing has been developed. The indexes of metallurgical qualityand contact fatigue life of steel produced by EAF+LFV process are up to that of steel produced by EAFelectroslag remelting (ESR) process.
6.Based on actual operation condition of RH refining furnace in Stainless Steel Branch of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co Ltd,process control thought of vacuum circulation of RH refining furnace was described,including technological process,equipment composition,hardware configuration,and instrument and process control of vacuum cirulation and so on. This study has active significance to promote application of industrial automatic control technique in steelmaking production.
9.By means of the upgrading of the ladle refining furnace for the purpose of vacuum oxygen decarbonization (VOD) in China First Heavy Industries, the stainless steel used for the blade of the hydraulic turbine of Three Gorge Project has been successfully melted and cast, the carbon content of which is less than 0.03% with very low gas content.
