1.RESULTS: TMR retrogradely labeled neurons were mainly found in nucleus of spinal tract of trigeminal nerve (SP5), superior vestibular nucleus (SuVe), spinal vestibular nucleus (SpVe), medial vestibular nucleus (MVe), lateral vestibular nucleus (LVe), ventral cochlear nucleus (VC), dorsal cochlear nucleus (DC), lateral superior olivary nucleus (LSO), principal nucleus of inferior olive (IOPr), medial nucleus of inferior olive (IOM) and dorsal nucleus of inferior olive (IOD).

3.However, anatomical researches found that there is no obviously direct fiber connections between vestibular nucleus and PFI.
4.The results suggested that the oculomotor nucleus received afferent inputs of the brainstem from the ipsilateral nucleus prepositus hypoglossi, the contralateral abducens nucleus, nucleus reticularis pontis caudalis, Darkschewitsch nucleus and interstitial nucleus of Cajal, the bilateral vestibular complex and mesencephalic reticular formation.
