.vitalcapacity (VC) and percentage of predicted value of vitalcapacity (VC %) decreased 17.3 % and 32.3 % on average respectively. There was statistical significant difference.
.To study the relationship between vitalcapacity and helium-oxygen mixture inspiration and altitude environment to explore changes of vitalcapacity and expiratory reserve volume (ERV).
.The therapeutic effect and the variations of forced vitalcapacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume(FEV 1),and vitalcapacity(VC) were observed before and after therapy.
.The curative efficacy and the variations of forced vitalcapacity (FVC),forced expiratory volume(FEV 1),and vitalcapacity (VC) were observed before and after therapy.
.Methods Vitalcapacity(VC) and its component expiratory capacity(ERV) and inspiratory capacity(IC) were detected in 37 stable patients with COPD and the data were analyzed statistically.
.Results:The vitalcapacity and ERV were increased remarkably (P<0.05) cmparared with breathing air. And the decreased deep breathing capacity had no a difference (P> 0.05 ). Vitalcapacity and ERV increased averagely about 19.2% and 87.3% separatly.
.Pulmonary function test showed that the forced expiratory volume in one second to forced vitalcapacity ratio(FEV 1%) was 78.75 % and the vitalcapacity ratio(VC%) was 78.80%.
